Abstract

The aim of the book 'Theory and Practice of Counselling Psychology' is to provide a basic survey of the field of counselling psychology. It explains what counselling psychology is and introduces the theory and practical parts in the book. The theory part gives a basic survey of the humanistic, psychoanalytic and behavioural models. The practice part draws mainly on humanistic and behavioural theories and attempts to offer some specific guidelines on how to perform various aspects of the counseling psychologist's role.
