Summary, etc Abstract<br/><br/>'Creation in the catechism of the Catholic Church' is a basis for catechesis in post-colonial Africa. It seeks to promote productivity within the cultural diversity of Africa in the context of globalization. The post-colonial/apartheid project attempts to develop new structures and a new vision that transcends ethnocentrism, reconciling native Africans with immigrants from Asia, the Americas, and Europe with one another, and builds bridges between indigenous cultures and the global culture of modern communication and technology. Within the background of African Christian theology and in the context of the post-colonial/apartheid era, the study explores the implications of the Christian doctrine of creation for the renewal and transformation of humanity in Africa with a view to building a human family out of the gifts of creation, history and culture in Africa.
