Abstract

The book is divided into three sections. The first section introduces the concepts of philosophy and philosophy of education, and emphasizes the importance of philosophy to education. The second part discusses the history ideas as expressed by a selection of important philosophers and traces the relevance of their thinking to modern theories and practices of education. The third section deals with the analytic method which is the most modern and current approach to philosophy of education. Under this section such key educational concepts as teaching and learning are given detailed analysis.
