Abstract
This book is a brief introduction to the theory and practice of education which is intended for students in the teachers' colleges in Africa. It postulates among other things the definitions of education, the environment in which teaching takes place and adapting to the old and new education. The book also discusses growing up, learning, teaching and organization of education. Lastly, it explains the aims of education for today and how to study.
This is a brief introduction to the theory and practice of education, it is intended for student teachers. It emphasize the relatedness of all aspects of education. At the end of each chapter there are suggestions for observations and discussion. In addition there is a useful appendix on 'How to Study' and a glossary of education terms.
