Abstract
The primary purpose of the book is to help one become a better learner as well as a better teacher. To achieve this, the book provides one with coverage of important theory and research in educational psychology while focusing on how one can apply this knowledge both inside and outside the classroom. The book explores learning and motivation. It also deals with preparing for effective teaching, where planning for instruction and classroom management and discipline are discussed. The book further postulates development and individual differences. Here, intelligence and cognitive development; cognition, culture, and language; personal and social development; and exceptional children are studied. Finally, assessment and evaluation are discussed.
