Abstract

The second edition of 'Mastering Philosophy' places special attention to recent developments in continental philosophy and new chapters on logic and critical thinking, and Chinese and Indian philosophy have been added. Subjects such as critical thinking, philosophies of Plato and Aristotle, knowledge, and ethics have been tackled. In addition, political philosophy, the philosophy of science, philosophy of religion and arts together with metaphysics have been dealt with. Lastly, man, society and culture as well as oriental philosophy have been explained.
