Abstract
Setting Up and Running a School library was written to help schools set and run their own libraries. It defines what a school library is. Advice and information on how to set up a small library and build bookshelves is given. Furthermore, selection of books for a library, making a record of available books and other information resources is explained. Dividing the library stock into subject areas and choosing the best method of letting students borrow library books as well as repairing of damaged books is explained. Lastly, useful teaching tips are found throughout the book together with addresses of international organisations which may supply free books
