Abstract

Psychology: An Introduction for Students in Southern Africa is an introductory psychology text book that aims at presenting the main psychological concepts and theories. Having defined psychology the book looks at the fields within psychology with its major paradigms. Physiological psychology, sensation an perception, consciousness, learning, memory and intelligence are explained. In addition, thinking and language, motivation and emotion, developmental psychology, personality, disorders and lastly industrial psychology are dealt with in depth.
